Hello Everyone!
I started this fundraising page to help ALL people who are living with epilepsy get better treatments. Dr.Valiante and his amazing research team is working towards that goal.
Epilepsy is a lot more common than most people realize. It is a condition that many people don't even speak of because it is "invisible", unless someone has a seizure infront of you.
Epilepsy is a terrifying condition to live with. Please help by giving to research to finally help control uncontrolled epilepsy!!
I have first hand experience living with epilepsy and also seeing some of my best friends live with it. I wrote a poem that is shared below to give you some idea what it is like to live with epilepsy.
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
PLEASE check out this page for more information about the AMAZING research Dr.Valiante is doing to help change the WORLD! (If you click on the research tab you will find a lot more information)

Extraordinary Journey
Where this journey led me I never thought I would be.
This winding road journey led by my epilepsy.
It is terrifying and scary not to have control,
Not knowing the next time I would go unconscious and fall.
There are still scars and bruises that will remain on my heart,
From Family and friend relationships that fell apart.
However, I kept on trying to be strong,
To find a place where I would belong.
The advancements in technology that I got to see,
Showed me I could get control of my epilepsy.
I met amazing people, who I would have never known,
If I did not agree to the treatments I was shown.
Long Hospital stays filled with anxiety and fear,
Not knowing that I would finally end up here.
I am lucky and feel really blessed,
That my strength and courage was put to the test.
Epilepsy has been an extraordinary journey for me.
I am a strong warrior that accepts whatever is meant to be.
The scars that are now on my head from brain surgery I wear as a battle wound.
It shows I had to be strong before this flower bloomed.
Epilepsy has no cure and I will have it forever.
But Supersurgeon did everything in his power to help me get better.
Look at what I have done and look at what I have seen!
None of it would have been possible without epilepsy!
